How to Half Up Hairstyle

1. Trace around your crown, leaving the sides down to cover your ears.
2. Smooth the top section back and secure with a small elastic.
3. Slide the elastic down slightly, then create a small opening above it.
4. Push the ponytail up and through that opening (a topsy-tail).
5. Take a section from just behind your left ear, smooth it back underneath your ponytail, and pin it.
6. Repeat on the right side.
7. Add texture powder for lift and lightly tease the underside of the ponytail.
8. Finish with hairspray for a soft, elegant look.

How to Recreate This Elegant Ponytail

1. Section from in front of your ears up to your crown in an arch shape and clip out of the way.
2. Secure the lower section into a low ponytail.
3. Let down the top section and secure just above the first ponytail.
4. Slide the elastic down slightly and create an opening just to the left of your crown.
5. Pull the lower ponytail up and through the opening so it sits on top.
6. Pinch and pull small sections around the twist to add movement and texture.
7. Finish with hairspray for a polished, voluminous ponytail.

Easy Updo Hairstyle Hack

1. Smooth hair back into a low ponytail and secure with an elastic.
2. Slide a hair stick or pencil horizontally behind the elastic.
3. Twist your ponytail away from your face once, then wrap it up the left side, behind the stick, over the top, and down the right.
4. Continue wrapping the ends around the base of your bun.
5. Secure the ends first, then use French pins around the bun while keeping the stick in place.
6. Once secure, gently remove the stick.
7. Finish with hairspray, shine drops, and your favourite accessory – it is the holidays afterall.
