Today’s how to hair tutorial is an Easy Braided Ponytail Hairstyle for Summer 2021! You loved the pull-through ponytail braid so much that I was inspired to share this knotted style. This braid can be easily dressed up for wedding, bridal, bridesmaid hairstyles, or a simple way to elevate your everyday hair. And is ideal for medium hair – long hair hair lengths.
For hair prep, I wanted this hairstyle to have a lot of texture and movement, so I first curled my hair with my Luxy Hair Signature Curler, this it my go-to barrel size for updos, and ponytails. Then I added hair extensions, I wear Luxy Hair Extensions 20″ Seamless in Beige Blonde (use code “LX-ALEXG”). Hair extensions are optional, but they’re great if you’re planning on wearing this hairstyle to a special occasion because they’ll help with length, and volume. Then I applied my go-to Bumble & Bumble texture spray all throughout my hair to give it some grip and volume, which also helps the braids hold their shape. Then a light spray of volume powder at the crown, and hair prep is finished.
I love how versatile this hairstyle is, you can stop at 2 knots and wear it as a half up, 4 knots and wear it as a pony-tail, or if you’re feeling up for it, braid all the way down to have a full braided look. I can’t wait to see your recreations, don’t forget to tag me on Instagram.
