How to Recreate This Easy Bun Hair Stick Hairstyle:
- Begin by gathering your hair into a low ponytail with your right hand.
- Tightly twist your ponytail clockwise, keeping your right hand in place to act as an anchor.
- Begin wrapping your twist around the base of your ponytail, continuing to twist and wrap underneath.
- Once wrapped, hold your bun in your left hand.
- With your right hand, take your hair stick and insert it through the under right side of your bun.
- Push the tip against your head as you flip the stick to the right.
- Wiggle and push the stick against your head to connect your twist until it comes out the left side of your bun.
- It can take a few tries to get the hang of it, so try not to get discouraged.
Tips for Using Hair Sticks/Hair Forks:
- Ensure your hairstyle includes a tight twist.
- When inserting your hair stick, make sure it’s parallel to your head.
- Grab enough hair for it to feel tight as you flip.
- Wiggle your hair stick as you push it along your scalp.
- Allow the end to go out and over the left side of your twist for a more secure hold, rather than staying along your scalp.
- Securing quickly will create a tighter finish.
- Practice; it will take a few tries to get the hang of it, so try not to get discouraged.
